INTELLIGENT TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGY
QUICKLOCK is a German-engineered, compression-based trenchless repair system for rehabilitating existing Sewer & Stormwater pipelines.
QUICKLOCK has been installed over 50,000 times throughout Europe since its development in 1999, it has recently entered the US market; and now QUICKLOCK Australia have established AQTF training & sought industry appraisal to provide the local market access to this premium trenchless product.
A FLEXIBLE, STRUCTURALLY SOUND
REPAIR SYSTEM WITH MINIMAL PREP,
MINIMAL LABOUR AND MINIMAL RISKS.
QUICKLOCK system is manufactured from self-locking V4A stainless steel sleeves & seamless EDPM rubber gaskets, and is capable of repairing many common defects found in pipes sized between 150 DN – 800 DN.

In 1999, UHRIG Canal Engineering GmbH developed QUICKLOCK, the only partial, infinitely variable rehabilitation system working on the basis of compression. Through years of consultation with their trained, certified installation partners, UHRIG has matured the QUICKLOCK system into a highly efficient, intelligent trenchless solution.
QUICKLOCK Australia is proud to be in partnership with UHRIG to bring this quality technology to Australia & New Zealand.
Since its development, the QUICKLOCK system has only been installed only by trained, certified operators. This recording has been provided by a certified installer based in Victoria.
The installation footage demonstrates how, using CCTV, the specially developed, pneumatically operated packers position the tightly rolled QUICKLOCK sleeve and gasket to the exact point of repair, ready to be expanded and locked permanently in place with the sleeve's integrated ratchet mechanism. QUICKLOCK sleeves can be installed as an isolated point-repair, overlapped to cover longer sections of damaged pipe, or used to compliment other lining systems.
QUICKLOCK is being subjected to a full formal appraisal by peak industry body, the Water Services Association of Australia, which will enable asset managers to access QUICKLOCK via the WSAA Portal.
FEATURED CASE STUDY
Stintons Road Reserve
Manningham City Council had installed drainage
infrastructure in Stintons Road Reserve some 40 years ago, piping a water course with large diameter pipes. Subsequently, garbage landfill was carried out over this period, to a depth of approximately 15 meters.
Following the capping of the site, it has become apparent
that lechate from the garbage was infiltrating the pipeline and discharging into the water course. This was due to shrinkage and ageing of rubber rings and ground movement. A pollution abatement notice was issued, to seal the system and rectify the infiltration issues.
Manningham council engineers investigated various rehabilitation approaches, and decided that the QUICKLOCK method was most suitable for the lateral lines. Approximately 150 QUICKLOCK seals –ranging from 375 diameter to 770 diameter – were installed. The drain was under a lot of pressure from the ground water, and was a great example of sealing external pressure. At 15 meters head, the installation was successful and cost effective, as opposed to a total re-line.
